34-year-old Alan Smith reported missing from his home in Kelso earlier today has been traced.
And he is safe and well.
Police issued an appeal this morning which was widely shared on socal media.
Officers have now thanked the public for their assistance.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We can confirm that 34-year-old Alan Smith reported missing from his home near Kelso has been traced safe and well.
"We would like to thank the public for their assistance."
