Those aged 65 and over - those aged 16-64 years, with underlying health conditions identifying them as at risk - those aged 5-11 years at risk and those aged 12-15 at risk.

NHS Borders say that people in any of these groups who have not received their letter, should call the national Covid-19 Vaccination Helpline on 0800 030 8013.

Border Telegraph:

Please note this appointment will be for a Covid-19 vaccination only, as flu vaccinations for this group will be offered at school.

At least 12 weeks should have passed since receiving a last dose of the Covid-19 vaccine before a booster is administered.

Those eligible who have tested positive for Covid-19 must wait four weeks from the date of a positive test or first symptoms (whichever was first) to get the Covid-19 vaccine.

However, people can still attend the appointment they have been offered in their appointment letter to get their flu vaccination, as long as one week has passed since they tested positive.

People can then make another appointment for their Covid-19 vaccination at a later date.

Alternatively, they can opt to get their free flu vaccination at one of the participating community pharmacies.

Details of participating pharmacies can be found here on the NHS Borders website.

Vaccinations within pharmacies will be administered subject to availability on a first come first served basis.

If the pharmacy team identify that someone has an upcoming vaccination appointment, they will discuss this with them  and administer a flu vaccine based on clinical risk.

Participating pharmacies are subject to change, please check the website for up-to-date information.
