A 58-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested and charged in connection with a series of fires in a Borders town, say police.
They include a blaze outside business premises on Jedburgh High Street at around 1.40am on Tuesday (October 25) and a series of fires involving bins in the early hours of Friday (October 28).
Nobody was injured in any of the incidents, according to police.

He is expected to appear at Selkirk Sheriff Court on Monday. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
A 72-year-old man who had previously been charged in connection with the fire on the High Street will face no further action following further investigation, according to officers.
