GREAT fun and a few scares were had by all ages at Traquair’s Family Fun Day on Sunday.
Hundreds of visitors enjoyed a packed day of events.
Kevin Quantum, the award-winning magician, returned with two great shows and ghost stories were told by Mary Kenny among the ancient yew trees.
And there was also a pumpkin trail in the maze.
In the courtyard, youngsters had fun making traditional broomsticks and wands, getting their faces painted and indulging in trying to eat the swinging doughnuts and apple doookin’, as well as other games.
Organiser Catherine Maxwell Stuart said: “It was a brilliant day and fantastic to see so many kids and adults coming dressed for the occasion.
“Our fancy dress competition was the best yet in terms of the effort people had put into their costumes. We were comparatively lucky with the weather as well and everyone truly got into the Halloween spirit.”
