DRUGS and cash have been recovered during police searches of a number of addresses in a Borders town.

Officers say enquiries are “ongoing” following the discovery of class A and B drugs, as well as cash, at the Hawick properties.

The searches took place last week.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Last week, six addresses in Hawick were searched under warrant for controlled drugs.

“Quantities of cash, class A and B drugs were recovered.

“Enquiries are ongoing, with reports being sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

“Anyone wishing to report drug dealing in their community can contact police on 101, or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
