POLICE in the Scottish Borders have announced a road closure near Kelso due to a 'serious crash'.
Officers say that the B6397 is currently closed between its junction with the B6404 and A6089.
The B6397 runs from the junction of the Earlston to Gordon road (A6105) to Kelso.
The B6404 runs from St Boswells to Kelso.
The A6089 runs between Gordon and Kelso.
Motorists are being advised to avoid the area if possible.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.55am on Friday, 11 November, 2022, police were called to a report of a serious road crash on the B6397 near Kelso in the Scottish Borders.
“Emergency services are in attendance and the B6397 is closed at its junctions with the B6404 and A6089.
“Enquiries are continuing.”
UPDATE 3.30pm Road still closed.
