BORDERER Finlay Christie will wear the number nine jersey for the All-Blacks against Scotland on Sunday at BT Murrayfield.

Born at Borders General Hospital and raised in Peebles before the family emigrated to Pukekohe in South Auckland New Zealand when he was seven, the 27-year-old Auckland Blues scrum-half will make his third start for his adopted country.

Christie made his All-Blacks debut from the bench last year in a 102-0 victory over Tonga at the Mount Smart Stadium last year, becoming All Black number 1196. One week later he again came off the bench in the 68th minute against Fiji.

He has appeared in 13-matches so far, 11 from the replacement’s bench.

Christie made his first start against the USA in Washington on October 23 last year in a match the All Blacks won comfortably 104-14.

Two weeks later he scored his only try so far in a 47-9 victory over Italy.

His only other start was two-weeks ago in a 38-31 win over Japan.
