A 23-YEAR-OLD man clocked driving a BMW at 125mph on the A1 in Berwickshire has been banned from the road for 10 weeks.
Jack Crowe was driving at more than double the 60mph speed limit on a straight section of the road near East Reston.
Selkirk Sheriff Court was told Crowe – who lives in Grantshouse – blamed a break-up with his long-standing girlfriend for what his lawyer described as a “moment of foolishness” on June 19.
Crowe, who runs his own car valeting business, was fined £700 and also ordered to pay a £40 victim surcharge.
