TWO iPads and a purse have been stolen after the back door of a Borders house was forced open, say police.

The housebreaking took place in Wilton Hill, Hawick, between 5pm and 8pm on Thursday (December 1), according to officers.

Police have launched a witness appeal.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Did you see anyone acting suspiciously? Do you have CCTV that covers any of the area mentioned?

“If you can assist with enquiries, please contact 101, quoting incident 3080 of December 1, 2022.

“Alternatively, If you have any information about this, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers 100 per cent anonymously at 0800 555 111 or via their anonymous online form.”
