BACKGROUND reports have been ordered into a 49-year-old man who was found guilty of two sexual offences following a jury trial last week.
David Wilson, who gave an address in Carlisle, was convicted of lewd, indecent and libidinous practices and behaviour and also sexually assaulting a child under 13 years of age in the Borders.
Sentence was deferred at Edinburgh Sheriff Court until December 29 for the preparation of a Criminal Justice Social Work Report and Wilson was liberated on bail until that date.
