TWO people were taken to hospital following a crash on the A7 between Selkirk and Galashiels earlier tonight. (Monday December 12 2022)
Emergency services were called to the scene of the crash near Lindean around 5.25pm.
One driver was taken to Borders General Hospital and another driver was taken to a hospital in Edinburgh.
The road was closed for more than two hours but has now reopened.
Police say that their enquiries are continuing into the cause of the crash.
A Police Scotland spokesperson told Radio Borders: "Around 5.25pm on Monday (December the 12th), police were called to a report of a road crash on the A7 at Lindean.
"Police and ambulance crews attended. One driver was taken to Borders General Hospital and the other driver was taken to hospital in Edinburgh.
"The road reopened at 7.50pm. Enquiries are ongoing."
