ROADWORKS will begin on the A7 at Magdala Terrace in Galashiels today, Monday January 9 and will continue for 10 working days.
The works will be carried out under temporary traffic lights, with the exception of Wednesday January 18 when the road will be closed

Resurfacing work will then begin on Monday 23 January for five working days, carried out utilising a convoy system.
Lining works will be carried out on Monday 30 January
Parking restrictions will be in place for the full duration of the works.
Parking restrictions will coincide with the works timings.

Parking restrictions will apply where signs or no waiting cones are in place
In the event of adverse weather it may be necessary to postpone the works. If works are postponed, updates will be posted here.
The alternative route is via A7, A6091, A68, A720 and A7 to point of closure
