FOLLOWING their performances at the East District Championships in Stirling, six Gala Harriers Athletes were selected to represent the East District at Scone Palace at the weekend.
As a British Cross race, athletes from all over the UK and Ireland raced alongside teams from the East, West and North of Scotland.

First up were the U13 boys with solid performances from Gregor Adamson and Charlie Dalgliesh in 21st and 23rd overall, they were 11th and 12th runners for the East.
In her first year as an under 15 Kirsty Rankine ran strongly to come in 20th overall and 8th for the East.
Isla Paterson running in the combined U17/U20 was 29th overall, 20th U17 and the 5th counter for the East. A fantastic performance earning Isla a silver team medal.

Sara Green, continuing her winning streak was 10th overall, 1st Vet 40 and 3rd counter for the East. Sara winning a team gold medal for the East in the combined senior UKA U20.

Last up was Darrell Hastie in the men’s senior and UKA U20. Another excellent performance saw Darrell finishing as 36th overall, 11th for the East and 3rd Vet 40.
Well done also to Elise Field , Archie Dalgliesh and Zico Field who missed out on selection but were happy to represent the club.
