A GALASHIELS man has been jailed for 29 months at Jedburgh Sheriff Court after being convicted of sexually assaulting two women in the Borders.
Samuel Bell, who is 43, attacked one woman at his home in Croft Street in January 2020.
The other woman was assaulted on various occasions at addresses in Lauder, Tweedbank and Borders General Hospital between March 2015 and March 2018.
The court heard Bell had continued to deny committing the offence – forcing his victim to give evidence.
In addition to the prison sentence, Sheriff Peter Paterson made Bell subject to the notification requirements of the Sexual Offences Act for 10 years.
