IT’S TIME to get those glad rags dusted down and find those dancing shoes because Evie’s Having A Ball.
Melrose youngster Evie Mitchell was diagnosed with the extremely rare CLN5 variation of Batten Disease in November 2021 and her family are now focused on making sure Evie’s remaining years are happy, comfortable and providing her with rich experiences while she is able to enjoy them.

The black-tie event takes place on Saturday March 25 2023 at the Border Events Centre, Springwood Park, Kelso.
It’s going to be a fantastic night featuring the Kilter Ceilidh Music band and organisers hope to raise a much money as possible for Evie’s Batten Journey in addition to widening the awareness of Batten Disease.

The Black-Tie Ball includes drinks on the table and a two-course meal, along with a live band and a charity auction.
Tickets are priced at £80.00 per person.

In addition, organisers are looking for sponsorship of the Ball to offset some of the costs, so that all the monies collected on the night go to benefit the charity aims.
So organisers are appealing to local businesses to help sponsor the event and in return they
aim to promote each business and their support in raising awareness of this horrible, degenerative disease.
Three packages are available:
Gold Sponsor Package - As one of the Gold Sponsors, you will be given one complimentary table of 12 at Ball. A full-page Melrose RFC program advert, Five Evie’s Batten Journey clothing items including a hoodie and t-shirt, and a VIP drinks reception with former international rugby players hosting. (Package Cost £3,000.00)

Silver Sponsor Package:- As one of the Silver Sponsors, you will be given one complimentary table for 12, a half-page Melrose RFC program advert, two Evie’s Batten Journey clothing items, and a drinks reception on arrival. Package Cost £2,000.00
Bronze Sponsors Package: As one of the Bronze Sponsors you will be given two complimentary ticket, a Melrose RFC program advert, an Evie’s Batten Journey hoodie, your business or name can be used to name one of the 42 tables, package Cost £500.00 dependent on ticket requirement this may reduce to £340.00
Table Sponsorship packages: Your business or name can be used to name one of the 42 tables Package Cost £150.00

There is currently no cure for this life limiting condition, though there are trial treatments now available in America, which Evie is going to be taking part in, this year.
This is a trial treatment, it is not a cure and there is no known outcome, but we hope it may help to slow down the condition’s progression.
