FORMER Melrose player Pete Horne has been added to the Scotland coaching setup ahead of the 2023 Guinness Six Nations.
The 33-year-old Glasgow Warriors Assistant Coach spent the 2009/10 season at The Greenyards.

He will link up with Gregor Townsend’s coaching team ahead of the opening two rounds of the 2023 tournament, joining the Scotland setup alongside his Warriors commitments over the next fortnight.
Having won 45 caps for Scotland as a player, Horne will focus primarily on the contact area and skills, the two areas on which he has focused as part of Franco Smith’s coaching team at Scotstoun this season.

Horne joins former Glasgow Warriors coach John Dalziel as part of the Scotland coaching team, with the men in blue preparing to open their tournament away to England next weekend.
