RADIO Borders is set to change its name as part of a move to Greatest Hits Radio.

It will be rebranded to Greatest Hits Radio (The Scottish Borders & North Northumberland) from April 3.

Ewen Cameron and Cat Harvey will be hosting the breakfast show, while Ken Bruce will be on from 10am to 1pm.

Simon Mayo will host drivetime from 4pm to 7pm, with Galashiels broadcaster Stuart Webster on from 1pm to 4pm in the newly-announced schedule.

Current Radio Borders breakfast show presenters Gregor and Lynsey will be launching a weekday breakfast show on sister station TAY FM across Tayside & Fife.

Victoria Easton-Riley, content director for the Hits Radio Network across Scotland, said: “Given the profile of our Radio Borders audience we feel now is the perfect time to welcome the station into the Greatest Hits Radio family.

“And what better time than April 3, when we are launching across Scotland with a quite incredible line-up of presenters that includes Ewen & Cat, Ken Bruce, Stuart Webster, Simon Mayo, Jackie Brambles, Arlene Stuart, Fred MacAulay and Hawick’s very own Boogie.

“We feel there is a huge opportunity for this radio station with our listeners across the Scottish Borders and north Northumberland.”

The station will continue to work with Cash for Kids to support vulnerable and disadvantaged children across the region.
