POLICE are currently at the scene of a one vehicle crash on the Melrose Road in Galashiels.
The incident took place shortly after 9.30am just past the junction with Langlee Road.
A car travelling into the town centre struck a metal fence.
Other drivers stopped to assist and police officers turned up a short time later.

There was some disruption to traffic in the area as vehicles heading into town have to cross onto the other carriageway to overtake the vehicles
A witness who did not want to be indentified said: "There was no other traffic on the road and I heard a loud bang. I thought the car had hit a pothole but it looks like it hit the fence which is damaged."
No injuries were sustained by the driver.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.50am on Friday, 3 February, 2023, police received a report of a one-vehicle crash on Melrose Road, Galashiels.
"Vehicle recovery is being arranged.”
