RANGERS B gained revenge for their defeat to Gala Fairydean Rovers at Netherdale earlier in the season with a comfortable 4-1 home victory at the Dumbarton Stadium on Saturday.

Gala had an early chance when a corner broke to Ciaran Chalmers inside the area but Johnly Yfeko made a vital block before Gareth Rodger fired over from close range on the stretch.

Zak Lovelace opened the scoring for Rangers in the 10th minute. A corner kick to the edge of the penalty area, fell to Lovelace who scored with a superb half volley.

Lovelace was involved in the second goal when he cut inside before being brought down by Rodger and the referee had no hesitation in pointing to the spot.

Bailey Rice dispatched the spot kick into the top left corner to double his sides advantage.

Moments later Robbie Ure rounded Ruairidh Adams in the Rovers goal and made it 3-0 with only 20-minutes on the clock.

Quinn Mitchell almost pulled one back for Gala with a 25 yard strike which was well tipped over by Jacob Pazikas.
