The problems were resolved earlier this week and the gym opened its doors yesterday February 15 at the premises formerly occupied by Clark Shoes in Gala Water Retain Park.

Members will be able to train through the night when no staff are in the building.

Security and safety procedures are in place for emergencies.

The gym will have automated external defibrillators (AEDs) and first aid kits for emergency assistance. (An AED is a portable electronic device that automatically diagnoses and treats life-threatening heart emergencies.).

Border Telegraph:

Red emergency help points are located throughout the gyms with 2-way communication so that members can speak to someone in the CCTV team to ask for emergency assistance.
