A SUPERMARKET is looking to hire more than 20 new staff at its branches in the Borders.

Aldi, which has shops in Galashiels and Hawick, is looking to hire 24 colleagues of "all levels of experience".

The jobs available include full and part-time roles, such as caretaker, store management apprentice and shop assistants.

Across the UK Aldi is running a recruitment drive, following its recent expansion and the opening of new stores over the next year.

The brand is also looking to hire 450 members of staff to its 11 regional distribution centres which can be found across the UK.

Aldi store assistants have a starting pay of £11 per hour, rising to £11.90.

Warehouse staff now receive a minimum hourly pay of £13.18.
