THE Galashiels shop previously occupied by the Trophy Guy in Market Street has been taken over by award-winning Emerald Aesthetics.
Emerald, who currently has premises in Bonnyrigg, has previously won a number of awards including Best Cosmetic Practitioner 2021, Best Aesthetic Clinic Edinburgh 2022, Best Aesthetics Clinic Edinburgh 2023 and Outstanding Achievement in Scottish Aesthetics.

Owner Sinead Johnstone said: “I am a prescribing nurse with an existing successful clinic in Bonnyrigg and chose Galashiels to open my second clinic after a year of looking around.
“I could see that the town was up and coming and wanted to be a part of that.
“I also noted after a lot of research that the area had very few options for this treatment at a medical level and many previously travelled for this. Safety in this industry is our main priority.
“We provide dermal filler and anti-ageing injectable treatments as well as medical grade skin peels and facials.

“I will be visiting as lead practitioner, however our nurse Jenna will be present in the clinic providing treatments and our visiting practitioner Kerri will be providing semi-permanent makeup treatments also.”
The shop is currently undergoing extensive renovation work to comply with health regulations and is expected to open in in May.
