LAST Saturday (February 18 2023) the Rotary Club of Peebles organised a street collection to gather funds to support the aid effort in Turkey and Syria following the recent, devastating earthquake and the ensuing humanitarian crisis.
Through the generosity of the people of Peebles the Club raised the magnificent total of £2,400.

This money has already been sent to the Disasters Emergency Committee (Turkey & Syria Appeal) and the Scottish-based charity, Mary's Meals, which is active on-the-ground in Syria - each organisation has received £1200.
The Rotary Club of Peebles expresses sincere thanks to all who contributed so generously on such a wet and windy day.
