A CHARITY fundraiser saw Billy Kennedy of Frightened Rabbit return to the stage after a five-year hiatus.

Taking to the MacArts stages as Haiver, Kennedy joined the concert which was raising funds for the Harris Trust.

Although Kennedy did perform himself, he was also at the event to support SPaRKs Ensemble – a group of musicians from Selkirk High School – which he mentors as part of a Harris Trust scheme.

Kennedy was also joined by Three Out of Four and Community Swimming Pool.

The Harris Trust was created in honour of Harris Macdonell, who took his own life at the age of 19 in 2020.

The trust aims to highlight the important connections between neurodiversity and mental health in the Borders and how awareness training for teaching and coaching staff can make a difference for young people who enjoy a variety of activities – Harris was a keen musician and played rugby for Selkirk Youth and Second XV teams.
