POLICE UPDATE: Due to an ongoing incident the A6091 in Melrose is currently closed outside the Borders General Hospital. FURTHER UPDATE 8.20am:A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Around 10 pm, (Sunday March 12 2023) police received a report of a road traffic collision on the A6091 near the Borders General Hospital in Melrose.
"One person has been taken to the Borders General Hospital where they are being treated for their injuries. Enquiries are continuing.
Road Remains Closed
FURTHER UPDATE: Police now appealling for witneses. Woman 60 in critical condition after having been struck by car which did not stop.
