THIS Mother’s Day weekend Floors Castle will be opening their Golden Gates and admitting all visitors for free access to the Gardens and Estate Grounds including the Children’s Play Park.

Though the Castle itself will not open until Easter, the grounds will be open this weekend  (March 18 and 19) for lunch at the Terrace, a walk around the Estate and a spot of shopping at the Apple Shed.

You can bring the bikes and enjoy the cycle trail overlooking the River Tweed or go wildlife spotting through the woodland walk around the estate.

Or grab a take-away coffee, tasty hot-dog or warming soup from the Courtyard Café and walk alongside the banks of the Tweed, or enjoy a delicious lunch at the Terrace Café which is now serving a new Spring menu.

If you are looking for a special Mother’s Day Gift, why not call ahead to the Apple Shed to have a special bespoke Hamper made up.

The Apple Shed Giftshop & Deli will also be open which has a beautiful selection of fabulous children's books, homeware and Floors Castle produce, including their famous freezer meals. Roxburghe Rocks tickets will also be available.

Access to the site is via the Main Golden Gates on Roxburgh Street in Kelso, TD5 7RL, allowing easy access to cars, pedestrians and cyclists.

Parking will be available in the Woodland Carpark or at the Terrace Café. Last entry through Golden Gates- 3pm.
