STEALING copper piping from a house in a Borders village resulted in a 23-year-old man being given a Community Pay Back Order with supervision.
Mitchell Smith - who lives near Durham - pleaded guilty to a charge of theft by housebreaking.
Jedburgh Sheriff Court was told there was full recovery of the copper piping.
