“ADVISORY warnings” have been handed out during speed checks in a Borders village, according to police.
Officers said the times of inspection over recent weeks have varied in response to concerns in Chirnside.
Four warnings were issued on Sunday (April 2), adding to those dished out on March 17, say police.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Please be mindful of speed limits in all areas, particularly around schools.
“During school holidays also consider children playing out in the streets at all times of the day now the lighter nights are finally here.”
