A BORDERS attraction is set to transport visitors back to a pre-historic world this summer.

The grounds of Floors Castle in Kelso will become the Borders very own Jurassic Park as a group of dinosaurs take over the stately home.

Dino-Floors will be a one-day event transporting guests 60 million years into the past, and is expected to be a great day out for children and adults alike.

Visitors will have the chance to get up close to Tyrannosaurus Rex, Triceratops, Megalosaurus, Stegosaurus, and some adorable Dino Babies.

A Floors Castle spokesperson said: "The event includes interactive, educational and musical entertainment shows, selfie photo-opportunities with the dinos and meet and greet walkabouts offering the chance to get up close and personal with the Jurassic giants.

"There will be three Dino Shows, including How To Train Your Dinosaur and The Fabulous Dr Fossil Show, plus a Jurassic playground, winged pterosaur, dressing up opportunity, sit-on statues, hatching eggs and more."

They added: "Floors Castle has worked with the local charity Meeting of Minds, to ensure children with special needs can also get involved during a limited capacity session prior to the main event.

"It will enable them to have a special show with the baby dinosaurs when they’ll be able to see, touch and feel the baby dinosaurs in a controlled environment, without sensory overload."

Dino-Floors will be held on Saturday, June 3 from 10am to 5pm.

Standard tickets are £20 per person, with free entry for babies under one.

Tickets for this special sensory session are £5.
