A WOMAN who assaulted a police constable at Borders General Hospital has been told her behaviour was "wholly unacceptable".
Forty-one-year-old Jennifer Sherlow, of Hawick, pleaded guilty to assaulting the male officer by puncturing his skin with her nails, punching and kicking him on the body and attempting to bite him on the body.
She also admitted adopting an aggressive attitude towards police officers and directing homophobic remarks to one of the officers.
The offences happened at the hospital on May 24 last year.
Sheriff Peter Paterson said:"Behaviour of this sort is wholly unacceptable particularly in this kind of location."
Sentence was deferred on Sherlow until Tuesday, May 2, when she has other matters calling.
