GO-AHEAD has been given for a former Galashiels gym to be converted into use as an office and storage space.
Applicant Durnion Clark submitted a retrospective planning bid to Scottish Borders Council for premises at 50 Island Street.
The council’s lead planning officer, Carlos Clarke, in his report approving the application, says: “The history of the building includes office and gym uses.
"Its use as an office would not have any notable environmental impacts nor effects on the town centre."
