POLICE in the Scottish Borders are appealing for information after tools and vehicles valued at £35,000 were stolen during a raid on an engineering business in St Boswells.

AB Wight Engineering posted on social media that its new site, was targeted by thieves overnight last night (Tuesday May 9) and listed a quantity of items that were taken which included a Toyota pick-up, a blue Transit, a 16ft trailer, generators and strimmers.
Officers say that their enquiries are ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 8.10am on Wednesday, 10 May 2023, police received a report of a break-in at premises in St Boswells, Melrose.

"Enquiries are ongoing into the break-in and theft of vehicles and various tools and machinery from the premises."
