HAVING fun is on the curriculum at a Borders village nursery, inspectors have found.
A representative of the Care Inspectorate paid an unannounced visit to Stow Primary School Nursery, which provides a care service for up to 34 tots.
It was found that children experienced warm, nurturing care from staff which “helped them feel happy, secure and safe”.
A report states that “children were having fun leading their own play and learning”.
Parents were also happy at the standard of care, with one saying: “I absolutely love this nursery, my child is very happy (the most important thing) which tells me they are getting things right”.
The nursery received four ‘good’ ratings for its care, play and learning, its setting, leadership and staff team.
