A 42-YEAR-OLD man who admitted assaulting a man to his severe injury with a screwdriver has been given a curfew for the next four-and-a-half months at his Denholm home.
Steven Shields, of Douglas Drive, pleaded guilty to repeatedly striking and attempting to strike the man with the implement during a disturbance at The Loaning in Denholm on June 24.
At Jedburgh Sheriff Court he was admonished on another charge of threatening or abusive behaviour towards the man between June 22 and June 24.
