A WOMAN has died following a fatal crash on a Borders road.
The 55-year-old was the sole occupant of a silver Kia Picanto which was travelling eastbound along the B6404 when it came off the road at around 3.20pm on Friday, May 19.
Emergency services attended the crash and the woman was taken to Borders General Hospital, where she later died.
Road policing officers are now seeking information following the crash, which saw the road closed for around seven hours.
Sergeant Jill Kirkpatrick said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the woman who died in this incident.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of what happened and we are appealing to anyone who may have information that could help to get in touch.
“In particular we are asking for those driving in the area around the time of the crash to get in touch. If you have any dash-cam footage that could assist then please contact us.”
