A KELSO woman who assaulted her former partner has been ordered to carry out 50 hours of unpaid work at Jedburgh Sheriff Court.
Twenty-nine-year-old Dionne McHugh pleaded guilty to scratching a man to the face to his injury at a house in Kelso on March 13.
The man sustained scratches to the cheek and a bleeding lower lip but declined medical attention.

The court was told an argument developed over child care arrangements and McHugh lost her temper and carried out the assault.
The first offender was given six months to carry out the unpaid work as part of a Community Pay Back Order which was an alternative to a fine.
