A BORDERS business is celebrating after it was voted best newcomer at a prestigious awards ceremony.

Haus and Co opened in Innerleithen last September, and the business has since become a favourite with locals and visitors to the town.

Its popularity has been further highlighted after the business was voted Best New Business in the Borders at Scotland's Business Awards 2023, at an Edinburgh ceremony last week (May 28).

Gary Smith, founder and creative director of Haus and Co, said: "We are absolutely thrilled to have been presented with this award.

"For a young business it's really validating to know we are doing a good job for our customers and they are enjoying the shopping experience we are offering.

"This is especially true given that the awards are thanks to the voting public who have supported us since we opened and voted for us in their droves.

"Running a business right now is tough but this award makes all the hard work and long hours absolutely worth it."

Haus and Co is a Scandinavian lifestyle and coffee shop on Innerleithen's High Street.

The shop, which sells homewares as well as having its own coffee counter and small seating area, offers a cosy and relaxing shopping experience.

Haus and Co isn't the only business to celebrate success at the recent business awards.

Cameron's Bakery in Selkirk won best Borders bakery, and Number One, also of Selkirk, won Best Restaurant.

Haus and Co is open Tuesday to Saturday at 46 High Street.
