TWO major Borders roads are scheduled to close next week to facilitate patching works.
The A7 will close between Stow and Torsonce for three days and the A72 will close between Edston to the B712 Junction for five days.

The work on the A7 will start on Monday June 12 and will take place between the hours of 8:30am and 5pm each day.
Alternative route: Northbound – via A7, A6091, A68, A720 and A7 to point of closure.
Southbound – the above in reverse.
The A72 work will also start on Monday June 12 and will take place between the hours of 8:30am and 5pm each day.
Alternative route: Eastbound – via A72, A701, A703 and A72 to point of closure.
Westbound – the above in reverse.

From Eddleston, Stobo Castle can be reached via The Meldons Road, A72 & B712, and this route would provide a quicker alternative.
