A 46-YEAR-OLD man was found in possession of a Stanley knife after being searched by police, Selkirk Sheriff Court has been told.
Ross Dawson, of Halliburton Place, pleaded guilty to being in possession of an offensive weapon on June 17.
He also refused to give police details of his name and address.

Dawson said the knife was in his pocket as he used it for work and had forgot it was there.
But prosecutor Joanne Waller said the accused was intoxicated and was searched at 8.10pm.
Dawson was fined £100 for failing to give police details and £200 for the knife offence. A £20 victim surcharge was added.
