A 46-YEAR-OLD woman has appeared in court charged with causing the death of a pensioner by careless driving.
It follows an incident on the B6397 road near Kelso on November 11 last year.
Around 8.55am that day, police were called to a report of a collision involving a grey Kia Venga and a red Mercedes GLE 300.

Emergency services attended and 72-year-old Janette Davidson, from Kelso, who had been driving the Kia Venga, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Angela Hislop – whose address was given as the Scottish Borders – made no plea when she appeared in private and on petition at Jedburgh Sheriff Court.
She was committed for further examination and released on bail, with the date of her next court appearance to be confirmed.
