THE Tournament Draw for the 2023 Maroon'd@Gala Festival - Proudly Sponsored by McGill Mortgages will take place tonight Wednesday August 9 at 6pm.

This year’s event takes place on Friday August 18th in the evening and then all day Saturday August 19th August.

The draw for the Senior Mens and both the U18 and U16 boys tournaments will be hosted by Dale Clancy.

Dale will be joined by Gala Rugby President Gary Isaac, Gala Rugby Vice-President Sinclair Paterson and also Derek McGill of McGill Mortgages, the 2023 Title Sponsor of Maroon'd@Gala!

This year sees the introduction of a Friday night tournament for S2 & S3 before moving into the Saturday with 5 different primary age grades taking part, as well as tournaments for U16 and U18 boys, U12 through to U18 Girls.

Organisers also welcome back Clan Rugby for the third year running, before the Senior Men and Women’s tournaments close out the action for this year.

They have expanded the food offering into a Food Village where spectators will be able to take a seat and experience the very best in local food offerings as well as being able to keep up to date with the action from all pitches via a giant screen.

The musical offering has also expanded and thanks to Borders School of Music organisers are delighted to offer a new take on local musical talent as well as a headline act to close out the 2023 Festival.
