THIS week youngsters of all ages will return to school in the Borders as summer comes to an end.
The first day of school is an important part of a child's time in education, no matter which year they are going into.
But, for some, this first day is a big step.
The first day of school is one pupils will remember for years to come, especially if they are going into P1 and S1 - marking the start of their primary and secondary school years, and for pupils moving into S4 and S6 - for whom this might be their final year school and with their futures outside of school ahead of them.
To commemorate this special day for young people in the Borders, we want to hear from the families of those going into their first years (P1 and S1) and final years (S4 and S6) at school.
Complete our form to share your children's photos for a chance to appear in our newspaper next week and on our website.
First day of school!
Pupils head back to school this week (Wednesday, August 16) and for some it's a pretty big day. Whether your child is just starting school in P1, making the jump to 'big school' in S1, or is heading into the home stretch in S4 and S6, we want to see your photos. Complete our form and send us photos of your child on their first day for a chance for them to appear in next week's paper (Wednesday, August 23) and on our websites.
