A 20-YEAR-OLD drink driver who bit a police officer on the arm has been ordered to carry out 120 hours of unpaid work and banned from the road for 14 months.
Lewis Allan, of Galashiels, was four times the legal alcohol limit after crashing his car in the early hours of June 11 last year.
Jedburgh Sheriff Court heard he had driven to Hawick after breaking up with his girlfriend when he assaulted the officer in the town's Mansfield Road.
