THERE is limited time left to vote for My Name'5 Doddie Foundation as Charity of the Year at the JustGiving awards.

The My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, whose aim is to see a world free from MND was shortlisted for the award following the success of this year’s Doddie Aid event.

And the Foundation needs our help.

Doddie Aid 2023 saw over £2 million raised and 38,000 participants take part in six weeks of running, rowing and riding

Among those who supported the cause this year were Olympians Dame Katherine Grainger and Sir Chris Hoy, actors McGregor and Ryan Reynolds, musician Capaldi and television stars Jason Fox and Gabby Logan, as well as a host of rugby stars past and present.

The 2023 event came to its conclusion when Rob Wainwright and a team of rugby stars transported the match ball for the Doddie Weir Cup - Scotland's Six Nations fixture against Wales last weekend - from Cardiff to Murrayfield by bike.The feat raised nearly £700,000 alone.

Team North and Mids captained by Eve Muirhead won the competition, clocking up more than one million miles from 8538 members, beating The South co-captained by Stuart Hogg and Samantha Kinghorn into second place.

But the Foundation are up against two worthy charities, Oasis Children's Centre who want to make sure no family faces the heartbreaking choice of 'heat or eat' and ShowerBox who are revolutionising hygiene for the street and hidden homeless in London.

Voting closes at midnight on August 25.
