PLANS for 24 new homes in a Borders village have been revealed.

A pre-application planning bid was this week submitted to Scottish Borders Council for a development on land south east of Burnside in Eddleston.

Of the 24 units proposed a total of six would be “affordable dwellings” – meaning they would be affordable for people on low incomes.

The applicant is David Harrison, of the Cavalry Business Park in Peebles.

The initial application seeks clarity from the local authority on whether the proposal is deemed a “major development” and thus requires a pre-application consultation.
