BACKGROUND reports have been ordered into a Selkirk man who admitted being in possession of a knuckle duster during an incident in Hawick.
Rory Barnes, of South Port, pleaded guilty at Jedburgh Sheriff Court to having an offensive weapon during an incident in the common stair of flats in Wilton Crescent on April 6.
Sheriff Peter Paterson said that due to his record and the nature of the offence he would be calling for a criminal justice social work report and a restriction of liberty order assessment.
The case will recall on September 21 at Selkirk Sheriff Court.
