POLICE in the Scottish Borders are investigation after two vehicles were damaged in  a carpark on Bowden Road, Newtown St Boswells.

The carpark is situated across from Scottish Borders Council Headquarters.

The incident was believed to have taken place between 8.30am and 5.15pm on Monday October 30.

However it is now understood that a third car was damaged in the same car park between 4pm and 5pm which narrows the time down.

Officers say that their enquiries are at an early stage.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5.40pm on Monday, 30 October, 2023, officers were made aware of two cars damaged in a carpark on Bowden Road, Newtown St Boswells.

“The damage is believed to have occurred between 8.30am and 5.15pm.

“Enquiries are at an early stage and ongoing.”
