A 58-year-old man reported missing from Melrose has been traced safe and well.
Shortly before 1am on Wednesday November 8 police officers issued a public appeal for help to trace Alexander Gordon Stewart known as Gordon after concerns were raised for his welfare.

Mr Stewart had been last seen in the Lowood Bridge area of Melrose, around 5.30pm on Tuesday November 7 2023.
Officers have now confirmed that he has been located and thanked the public for sharing the appeal.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: We can confirm that Alexander Gordon Stewart who was reported missing from Melrose has been traced safe and well.
“Thank you to everyone who shared our earlier appeal.”
