A PEEBLES teenager has pleaded guilty at Selkirk Sheriff Court to two assaults.
Liam Moffat – while acting with others – repeatedly punched the man on the head, whereby he fell to the ground, to his severe injury in Victoria Park Drive on July 4 last year.

He had originally pleaded not guilty but the charge was amended to show he was not acting alone.

The 19-year-old had already admitted a separate charge of repeatedly punching a man on the head on a bus in High Street, Peebles, on May 6.

Sentence has been deferred on both matters until November 27 for background reports.
