PLANS for a ‘tiny’ mobile holiday home on agricultural land near Hawick have been submitted to Scottish Borders Council.
The proposal is for the erection of a single holiday accommodation together with decking, sauna, access and associated works on land west of Billerwell Farm at Bonchester Bridge.
A report with the application says: “The tiny home is constructed upon the bed of a wheeled agricultural trailer and therefore could be moved, if required.
“The tiny home is to be a timber framed building with horizontal natural cladding with a profiled metal roof.
“The application site located within the land owned by the client on Billerwell Farm is currently agricultural land.
“An existing pond sits in the slopped site to the south which is a key feature for the overall enjoyment of the holiday let proposal.
“The proposed tiny home sits below prominent ridge lines of the surrounding area of woodlands, hills, and is largely not visible in the local area.”
